Referral Programme Terms

These Referral Programme Terms ("Referral Terms") govern the MyTradeBuddy Rewards referral programme (the "Programme") operated by MyTradeBuddy, a product of Beluga AI Ltd (Company No. SC870584) ("MyTradeBuddy", "we", "us"). They apply in addition to our Terms of Service and, where your business has signed a separate service agreement with us, that agreement. If these Referral Terms conflict with your service agreement or the Terms of Service on any point other than the Programme itself, the service agreement and Terms of Service win. The Programme is offered to businesses acting in the course of trade, not to consumers. By sharing a referral link or claiming a reward you agree to these Referral Terms.

1. How the Programme works

  • Each eligible MyTradeBuddy customer account ("Referrer") has one personal referral link. When another trade business (the "Referred Business") signs up through that link, the referral is tracked to the Referrer automatically.
  • What the Referred Business gets: their first month's subscription fee after any free trial is waived (their "free month"). Everything outside the monthly subscription fee — survey purchases, lead purchases, usage beyond included plan allowances, top-up bundles, and any add-ons — is always chargeable at the normal rates, including during the free month.
  • What the Referrer gets, per successful referral: (a) a plan credit equal to one month of the subscription plan the Referred Business is actually on when they qualify (for example £379 for the Full Systems plan or £179 for the Website plan, at then-current pricing), and (b) a survey & lead credit of £100 (where the Referred Business takes the Full Systems plan) or £50 (Website plan).
  • There is no limit on the number of referrals. Rewards from multiple referrals accumulate.

2. When a referral qualifies

  • A referral qualifies — and the Referrer's reward is issued — only when the Referred Business's first paid subscription invoice has been paid and has settled. A started trial, an unpaid free month, a failed payment, or a cancelled signup does not qualify.
  • If that first payment is later refunded, reversed, or subject to a chargeback or payment dispute, the referral ceases to qualify and clause 5 (reversal) applies.
  • The Referred Business must be a genuinely separate business that is new to MyTradeBuddy — not an existing customer, a previous customer re-registering, or a business already in an active signup conversation with us at the time of the referral. We determine qualification reasonably, based on our records.
  • The referral offer does not combine with other signup promotions or discount codes. Where a signup carries both a referral and another offer, the referral applies and the other offer does not.

3. What credits are — and are not

  • Credits have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for cash, withdrawn, transferred to another account or person, or used to create a refund. A credit balance is a discount against future charges, not money we owe you.
  • Plan credit applies only against your MyTradeBuddy subscription and system fees (including metered system fees and usage bundles). It does not apply to survey purchases, lead purchases, or any third-party charges. Plan credit is applied automatically to your upcoming bills; unused amounts roll forward while your account remains active.
  • Survey & lead credit applies only against survey and lead purchases made through your MyTradeBuddy account, at standard pricing, and is applied automatically at checkout. It reduces the amount payable for an order; all other terms of the purchase — including minimum order quantities, delivery windows, credit expiry, and the non-refundable nature of survey and lead packs under your Pay-Per-Survey Agreement or the Terms of Service — are unchanged.
  • Survey & lead credit expires 12 months after it is issued. Plan credit does not expire while your subscription remains active.
  • All credits are void when your account closes. If you cancel or your account is terminated, any unused credit lapses with it and is not paid out.
  • A purchase paid partly or wholly with credit is refundable only to the extent of the cash actually paid, and only where a refund is due under the applicable terms. Credit used on a refunded order may, at our discretion, be re-credited to your account rather than refunded.

4. Fair play

  • No self-referral. You may not refer yourself, your own business, another business you own or control, or a signup using the same company details, contact details, or payment card as your own account. Our systems check for this and a matching referral earns nothing — including the free month.
  • No fake or engineered referrals. Creating businesses, accounts, or payments for the purpose of generating rewards is fraud and will be treated as such.
  • Share it like a human. You may share your link personally — messages, group chats, your own social profiles, your website. You may not send bulk unsolicited messages (spam), run paid advertising on our brand terms, register look-alike domains, or present yourself as MyTradeBuddy or as our agent. You must comply with applicable marketing law when sharing.
  • Don't promise what we haven't. You may not make claims or guarantees about the Service on our behalf. What the Referred Business is entitled to comes from our terms and their agreement with us, not from anything a Referrer says.

5. Reversal, withholding & abuse

  • If a qualifying payment is refunded, reversed, or charged back, or a referral turns out to breach these Referral Terms, we may void the referral and reverse the associated credits. Where reversed credit has already been spent, we may deduct the equivalent amount from your existing or future credits.
  • We may withhold a reward while we investigate a referral we reasonably suspect breaches these Referral Terms, and we may decline it where the breach is confirmed.
  • Serious or repeated abuse of the Programme is a material breach of our Terms of Service and may lead to removal from the Programme, forfeiture of unused credits, and suspension or termination of the account.

6. The Programme itself

  • We may change reward amounts, eligibility rules, or any other aspect of the Programme, or suspend or end the Programme entirely, at any time. Changes apply prospectively: rewards already earned under the rules in force when they were earned are honoured (subject to clause 5), and referrals in progress qualify under the rules in force when the Referred Business signed up.
  • Reward values are stated inclusive of any applicable VAT treatment as a discount. You are responsible for your own tax position in relation to any reward.
  • These Referral Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, consistent with our Terms of Service.
